Calves, Biking and the Thumper Sport Percussive Massager

I did a lot of review of the writer, so this happens to be my first.

Why start now, you ask?

Since I finally found a masseuse that is not something that everyone else (no percussion) massage products could not.

Let me give you some background about me first.

I am a father and husband first and foremost, an avid cyclist, but most of the rest of the time. I average about 100 + miles a week with an average speed of about 18 to 20 mph

.

to last 2 or 3 years, my calves started getting very, tight and painful (and this is a very capital V). I've had problems with the other leg out through the year, pulled muscles, shin splints, and even a dislocated knee cap and I thought of tightness in my calves is just part of cycling ... or getting old - I am 45 years

.

In search of relief I've tried many different therapies, including hot baths, massage, rollers / devices and a regular electric massager (no impact). Although electric massager felt good, it could not break the knots in my calves.

I happened to run into a friend of mine who is a semi-pro body builder (and turn on / off again wrestler) and talked with him about the tightness in my calves.

told me he had this particular problem, but maybe all the swimming he did made a knot go away.

He said calves must be flexible, because it is just as (he uses the word comes down) at relieving back pain.

proposed a regular weekly massages (and maybe some swimming), that sounded like a great idea, but at $ 60 a pop, and three children to feed the most likely solution.

I know that the machines are out there dedicated to your feet and calves, but come on them is limited, and the ones I found do not go high enough for my calves ... I'm only 5 '8 '. In addition to restrictions, they run in the neighborhood of $ 300 dollars or more.

My first introduction to the percussion massage in the Brookstone catalog, percussive massage ... interesting concept.

I'm a little homework on the impact massage, and found much to read about, but not much is ever said about the calves and percussion massagers. Some sites even have video, but none of them proved to resolve calf massager.

to read the reviews from Amazon and other massage forums, it was clear to see that the speaker massagers out ahead in almost every category as the best for the money.

He got to the point where I was in pain just walking around the house so that the last attempt to avoid going to the doctor or some kind of sports physiotherapists, I bought a speaker Sport.

Long story short, it's unbelievable.

I've owned it for about a month now and I must admit that the first few days of use as it does not produce lasting results, but boy did it feel good.

After a week I noticed a significant difference in the flexibility (and pain level) my calves, and after about two weeks of using this percussive massager daily pain in the lower leg completely stopped and my calves become flexible again.

It is still hard to believe that after years of pain and loss of mobility (I could not point my toes straight down) percussive massage is all we need.

speaker masseuse was awesome and I will continue to use the - forget regular masseuse ... total waste of money.

to use his religious sport, every 2 days for about 10 minutes on your feet, calves, thighs, back, and even the palms of the hands.
